More than 45 million U.S. households are dog owners and almost 38 million own cats. So we’re pretty sure that if you’re reading this there’s a good chance you have a dog or cat as part of your family. We want to know how your adopted pet has changed your life for the better. We especially want to hear from you if you made an adult dog or cat a member of your family.
Pets for Patriots story submission rules
- You must be 18 years of age or older as of the date you submit your story; please read our privacy policy.
- You must be a legal resident of the United States at the time of submission.
- You may submit more than one photograph.
- You must complete, print and send a submission form for each photograph.
- Photographs can only be submitted electronically in JPEG format.
- By submitting your story and pet photograph, you grant Pets for Patriots the non-exclusive royalty-free right to use your photograph and story for purposes of promoting Pets for Patriots’ mission.
- Photographs submitted to Pets for Patriots will not be returned.
- There is no deadline for submission; this is not a contest.

- Attach the saved form to an email, with your pet photograph, and send them to stories at petsforpatriots dot org
If we use your story, only your first name, city, state and pet’s name will be made public. Don’t forget to read some of the wonderful stories submitted by our loyal supporters.
