What is an eligible adoption?
Our goal is to help our member shelters adopt out mature and other hard-to-adopt dogs and cats. We know that most shelters have strong demand for puppies and kittens, but little for adult dogs and cats, even though they make wonderful pet family members and deserve a second chance at life. Eligible adoptions include:
- Adult dogs and cats, two years and older
- Large dogs, 40 pounds or more
- Other dogs or cats that are hard-to-adopt due to special needs or old age
