Background:

This is a high-priority interview since its publication may coincide with a promotion we are discussing with the Michigan Humane Society. It will be published on Military.com, on our blog and circulated through our blog and other social media.

William is a Coast Guard veteran who honorably adopted Blake, a German Shepherd mix, from the Michigan Humane Society in early September.

William has other pets in his family: Bankhar (dog) and two cats, Tom Chono and Daisy.
