About Animal Defense League of Texas

The Animal Defense League of Texas offers dog and cat adoptions to San Antonio area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. There are two shelter locations, one on the Northeast side of San Antonio at 11300 Nacogdoches Road and the second, The Paul Jolly Center For Pet Adoptions, located across from the San Antonio zoo at 210 210 Tuleta Drive.

The organization enhances the quality of life of homeless animals by providing refuge, essential medical care, compassion, and attention.

The Animal Defense League of Texas welcomes monetary donations in support of its work. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.

Adoption Fees Include:

30 days of pet insurance
Age-appropriate vaccinations
Basic veterinary exam
FeLV/FIV test (cats)
Flea/tick preventative
Heartworm preventative
Heartworm test (and treatment if positive)
Microchip for permanent identification
Sample bag of HEB Heritage Ranch Pet Food
Spay/neuter
