About Columbus Humane

Columbus Humane offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

The organization has been in operation since its founding in 1883. In addition to pet adoption, Columbus Humane investigates animal cruelty, and provides a pet lost and found, spay/neuter referrals, and dog training. Through various programs the shelter helps animals who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless, and those whose guardians are domestic violence victims.

Columbus Humane welcomes tax-deductible monetary donations. Contributions of pet food, kennel supplies, and other donations-in-kind are needed and can be found on the shelter’s wish list. For a more hands-on experience become one of their valued pet fosters or volunteers.
