Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to Middle Peninsula area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. To help the most adoption challenged animals find loving homes. adoption fees are waived for pets with special needs.

Founded in 1912, Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society offers programs in humane education for children and adults, and focuses on a range of topics such as pet overpopulation, responsible pet care and careers in animal welfare.
