About Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

The shelter was founded in 1885. In addition to pet adoption, Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley works to reduce pet abandonment and overpopulation in its community. It operates a veterinary clinic providing low-cost preventative care and medications, and offers humane education programs and dog training.

Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley welcomes monetary donations as well as in-kind contributions from its wish list. To help the many pets in their care, consider becoming one of their valued volunteers or foster a pet waiting to be adopted.
