About Maui Humane Society

Maui Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans in Maui County through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friend.

In operation since 1953, the organization is the county’s only open admission shelter. Maui Humane Society is unique in Maui County: the shelter handles all animal management, is the only organization offering humane education programs and maintains the largest spay/neuter to the communities it serves. The shelter helps prepare families for safety in times of disaster, maintains a lost/found pet program and educates pet owners in violation of county codes, instead of merely writing citations.

As part of its mission of humane education, Maui Humane Society advocates for all animals to be treated with compassion and respect. The organization goes to great lengths to save the lives of the animals in its care, including its Wings of Aloha program to fly pets to the mainland for adoption.

Maui Humane Society welcomes monetary donations; for a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.

Adoption Fees Include:

Microchip (dogs only)
