Needy Paws Animal Shelter

About Needy Paws Animal Shelter

Needy Paws Animal Shelter offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in Johnson County, Arkansas and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. In operation since 1997, Needy Paws Animal Shelter is an extension of the Humane Society of Johnson County. In addition to dog and cat adoptions, the organization contracts with Clarksville and Lamar for all shelter and animal control issues.

Needy Paws Animal Shelter is dedicated to finding the right match between pet and person, and to ensuring that each adopter is paired with a lifestyle-appropriate animal. To promote the adoption of harder-to-adopt pets, every Friday the shelter has a Black Friday program, in which black dogs and cats are available for adoption at half-off their usual fee.

Needy Paws Animal Shelter accepts monetary donations at the shelter, as well as in-kind donations of pet toys, treats, leashes, collars, office supplies, small sheets and blankets (no fleece) and various cleaning supplies. Volunteers of any age are welcome during shelter hours; individuals under the age of 16 without a vehicle must be accompanied by an adult.

Please visit Needy Paws Animal Shelter to inquire about additional ways to support their work, including sponsoring a cat or dog, and providing memorial or honorarium donations.

Adoption Fees Include:

Spay/neuter voucher (if not already spayed/neutered)
Bag of pet food (as available)
Coupon books for Discount on pet supplies (as available)
