Outreach to Pets In Need

About Outreach to Pets In Need

Outreach to Pets In Need (OPIN) offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

OPIN is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue saving community and shelter pets since 2007. The organization focuses on training, or retraining, relinquished dogs and cats to increase their chances of permanent adoption. In addition to educational, medical, training, microchipping, and adoption programs, OPIN works in partnership with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center of Stamford to provide pet foster care for victims of domestic violence. OPIN believes each pet should be treated with respect and dignity regardless of age, breed or illness.

OPIN does not maintain a physical facility since all pets are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted. The organization welcomes volunteers and qualified pet fosters.

Adoption Fees Include:

Microchipping for pet identification
Vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery, if needed
Free weekly group dog training classes
