Palm Springs Animal Shelter

About Palm Springs Animal Shelter

Palm Springs Animal Shelter offers companion dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. The organization is dedicated to building a community responsible for pet stewardship and the humane treatment of all animals.

In addition to companion pet adoptions, Palm Springs Animal Shelter operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, offers pet licensing and microchip, maintains a pet food bank, and runs a neighborhood cat program to responsibly manage the community’s feral cat population. The shelter provides all routine animal control services as well, including investigation of cruelty and abuse, and response to complaints of stray, sick or injured animals.

The nonprofit Friends of Palm Springs Animal Shelter is manages and operates the municipal shelter, and is responsible for its fundraising.

Friends of Palm Springs Animal Shelter welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind donations of clean white towels, polar fleece blankets and Kuranda beds; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
