Paul Jolly Center for Pet Adoptions offers dog and cat adoptions to San Antonio area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. It is part of The Animal Defense League of Texas, whose main campus is on the Northeast side of the city.

The organization enhances the quality of life of homeless animals by providing refuge, essential medical care, compassion, and attention.

A broad range of services is offered to the community. Paul Jolly Center for Pet Adoptions offers low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinics, humane education, and numerous free resources to support pets and their people. Its Seniors for Seniors program provides fee-waived adoptions to qualifying people 60 and older who adopt pets over six years of age.

Animal Defense League of Texas welcomes monetary donations in support of its work. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.

Adoption Fees Include:

Basic veterinary exam
FeLV/FIV test (cats)
Flea/tick preventative
Heartworm preventative
Heartworm test (and treatment if positive)
Microchip for permanent identification
Sample bag of HEB Heritage Ranch Pet Food
Spay/neuter
30 days of pet health insurance
