About Pensacola Humane Society

The Pensacola Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

In addition to pet adoption the shelter operates a publicly available, low-cost spay/neuter clinic. To keep people and their pets together Pensacola Humane Society maintains a pet food pantry, behavioral training, and educational programs. Every effort is made to improve the lives of companion animals in the community through advocacy, adoption, education, and sanctuary.

The Pensacola Humane Society was founded in 1943 and welcomes tax-deductible monetary donations. Contributions of pet food, kennel supplies, and other donations-in-kind are needed and can be found on the shelter’s wish list. For a more hands-on experience become one of their valued pet fosters or volunteers.

Adoption Fees Include:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Basic veterinary exam
  • Behavior assessment
  • Heartworm test
