About SOS Animal Rescue

SOS Animal Rescue offers dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots veterans and will help them find their new best friend. The all foster, home-based rescue takes in sick, injured and stray animals from shelters and the surrounding community, and gives them health and temperament clearance prior to adoption.

To increase the visibility and adoption potential of animals in their care, SOS Animal Rescue brings available pets to the Petsmart store in Saginaw every Friday through Sunday. Cats available for adoption can be seen in the adoption center any time the Saginaw Petsmart store is open. As part of its commitment to responsible pet ownership and to reduce surrender due to financial hardship, SOS Animal Rescue sponsors a spay/neuter program for Midland County residents, and provides pet food assistance for those who need help providing food and other essentials for their pets.

SOS Animal Rescue welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of collars/leashes, dog and cat food, and kennel supplies; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.

Adoption Fees Include:

Rabies and distemper vaccines
Heartworm test (dogs)
Feline leukemia test (cats)
Flea medicine
Veterinary health exam
