Moose is big goof who seeks a quiet home—cool with older kids!

Moose

The basics

  • My name is Moose
  • On my last birthday, I was 2
  • I am a boy
  • I've been homeless since August 1, 2025

The good stuff

  • My best trick is trying to juggle my toys over my head. I tell ya, it's a sight to see!
  • Me in three words: goofy, loyal, loving
  • How I feel about other critters: I'll probably be cool with a female dog, but cats? No way!
  • My absolute favorite thing to do in the world is to enjoy a treat-filled Kong. Yum!!
  • This is what I dream about when I dream about my perfect person or family: a kind, patient home to help me through the next month or two of heartworm treatment—and beyond—with a nice quiet place to rest my blocky head. The shelter will even cover my care til I'm heartworm-free! I'm a big goofball who doesn't know that he's not a puppy anymore, so while I just adore kids I'll do best with dog-savvy teens. I could do well with a nice dog sister, someone to show me the ropes and enjoy some canine companionship. Mostly I'd love a family of my own who will show me patience and love, who see value in my life that's worthy of their short-term sacrifice. And I promise to return that love a bazillion times over!
