Animal Welfare League of Alexandria partners with Pets for Patriots to help veterans in the community adopt companion pets.
In addition to pet adoption, the organization promotes spay/neuter to control pet overpopulation. Animal Welfare League of Alexandria offers educational programs about responsible pet guardianship, animal welfare, and humane treatment of animals as well. Free information is available on the shelter’s website to help adopters welcome home a new dog or cat.
