About Anti-Cruelty

Anti-Cruelty partners with Pets for Patriots to help Chicago area veterans adopt their new best friends.

Founded in 1899 as The Anti-Cruelty Society, the organization offers a range of programs in addition to adoption. Services include a publicly available, low-/no-cost spay/neuter clinic, charity veterinary clinic, and cruelty investigations and rescue. In addition, Anti-Cruelty maintains a free behavior hotline, temporary housing for pets whose guardians are in crisis, and community outreach programs.

Anti-Cruelty welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.

Pets must be adopted at the River North Adoption Center at 510 N LaSalle Ave. Animals adopted from the Everyday Adoption Center at the South Loop PetSmart Store are not Pets for Patriots eligible.
