Blue Mountain Humane Society

About Blue Mountain Humane Society

Blue Mountain Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans in the Walla Walla Valley through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

Founded in 1967, Blue Mountain Humane Society is committed to preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals in their community, and does not euthanize healthy, adoptable pets. In addition to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of sheltered animals, Blue Mountain Humane Society provides animal control services in the county, cruelty and neglect investigations, and humane education programs for the public. In addition, the shelter offers pet food and spay/neuter assistance to income-qualified individuals.

Blue Mountain Humane Society welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of chewy pet treats, various retail gift cards, 33 gallon trash bags and other items. See their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
