Capital Area Animal Welfare Society partners with Pets for Patriots to help veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.
The organization provides many community services in addition to pet adoption. Capital Area Animal Welfare Society educates the public about responsible pet guardianship and the humane treatment of animals. The shelter offers low-cost spay/neuter programs as well to reduce pet overpopulation.
Capital Area Animal Welfare Society welcomes monetary and in-kind donations. See their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
