About CARE STL

Center for Animal Rescue & Enrichment of St. Louis (CARE STL) offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. The nonprofit organization serves as the established shelter for the City of St. Louis Animal Care and Control.

The shelter is committed to educating the public about responsible pet guardianship. CARE STL focuses its outreach around marginalized populations, including felons/ex-felons, those in recovery from drug/alcohol abuse, veterans, children on the Autistic Disorders Spectrum, and senior citizens.

CARE STL welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
