Chesapeake Humane Society

The Chesapeake Humane Society partners with Pets for Patriots to help Hampton Roads area veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.

In addition to pet adoption, the Chesapeake Humane Society provides low-cost spay/neuter, vaccination services and wellness exams, and a pet food program to decrease the number of animals surrendered due to their guardians’ temporary financial hardship. The organization helps animals in the care of the city shelter as well by conducting various off-site adoption events throughout the community.

Adoptable cats are housed at their shelter; adoptable dogs are in foster care so please call to arrange a meet and greet.
