About City of Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control

City of Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

The shelter serves people and pets in its community in many important ways. It implemented an innovative Pet Assistance and Rehoming program to help keep people and their pets together, and avoid animal surrender. In cooperation with other animal welfare groups, the shelter participates in Operation Cat. This program provides spay/neuter, vaccinations, and other essential care to free-roaming community cats.

City of Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control welcomes donations to support the pets in its caare. For a more hands-on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.
