Cleveland Animal Care and Control offers dog adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.
The shelters’ volunteer program, CITY DOGS Cleveland, is instrumental in nearly all aspect’s of the shelter’s operations. CITY DOGS volunteers provide daily care, exercise, and enrichment for the dogs, and facilitate meetings with adopters, among other important tasks. The program works to change the perception and adoptions potential of Pit Bull-type dogs.
Financial support for Cleveland Animal Care and Control is supplemented by their nonprofit partner, Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland. The organization raises funds to help pay for medical and other operational expenses at the shelter. Volunteers and fosters are welcome.
