Humane Society of Polk County partners with Pets for Patriots. The organizations share a goal to help local veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.

In addition to adoption, the shelter has a food pantry for people who need help caring for their pets. Humane Society of Polk County offers affordable spay/neuter and vaccination services as well. Community outreach and humane education programs are available to residents free of charge.
