Humane Society of Wayne County

Humane Society of Wayne County works with Pets for Patriots to help veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.

The shelter is a refuge for lost, unwanted, and abused animals. Humane Society of Wayne County offers various programs in addition to adoption. A Spay Neuter Incentive Fund collaborates with local veterinarians to help families unable to afford the full cost of fixing their pets. The organization’s Adult Companion program pays up-front costs to pair animals age three and older with residents who are 50+ years old.
