About Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley

Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.

The organization was founded in 1885 as the first animal shelter in the state of Tennessee. In addition to pet adoption, Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley operates a pet food pantry that serves Knox County and East Tennessee communities. A monthly low-cost wellness clinic offers affordable vaccinations, nail trims, and microchip implantation, by appointment only.

Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley welcomes monetary donations as well as in-kind contributions from its wish list. Consider becoming one of their valued volunteers or fostering a pet waiting to be adopted.
