About Jefferson County SPCA

Jefferson County SPCA offers dog and cat adoptions to Northern New York veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. The shelter runs a satellite adoption center at Petco in Watertown to increase the adoption potential of the animals in its care.

Founded in 1891, the organization offers foster, adoption, and medical programs to prevent animal cruelty. In addition, Jefferson County SPCA provides low-cost veterinary services to adopted animals, spay/neuter, and microchip for permanent identification.

Jefferson County SPCA welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
