Louisa County Animal Shelter partners with Pets for Patriots to help area veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.

In addition to pet adoption, Louisa County Animal Shelter investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws. The shelter strives to eliminate pet overpopulation by encouraging spay/neuter. Further, it educates the community about responsible pet guardianship and how to prevent animal cruelty.
