About Louisa Humane Society
Louisa Humane Society partners with Pets for Patriots to help veterans in their community adopt companion dogs and cats.
In addition to pet adoptions, Louisa Humane Society operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. The foster-based organization promotes responsible pet guardianship through humane education services and community outreach.
Louisa Humane Society relies on the efforts of volunteers and welcomes individuals who are willing to contribute their time as volunteers or fosters. In-kind donations are equally welcome; see their complete wish list for details.
Adoption Fees Include:
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Basic veterinary exam
- FeLV/FIV test (cats)
- Fecal test
- Flea/tick preventative
- Heartworm preventative
- Heartworm test
- Licensing
- Microchip for permanent identification
- Spay/neuter
