Monroe County Dog Shelter offers dog adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

The shelter is an open admission municipal facility helping lost, homeless, and owner-surrendered dogs in Monroe County, Wisconsin. In addition to pet adoption, Monroe County Dog Shelter investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws. The shelter provides dog licensing as well.

Monroe County Dog Shelter welcomes in-kind donations to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of dogs in their care. Ask a staffer for details and current needs. For a more hands-on experience become one of their valued volunteers.
