About Nassau Humane Society

Nassau Humane Society partners with Pets for Patriots to help Fernandina Beach area veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.

The shelter provides animal-assisted therapy, pet care education, outreach spay and neuter programs, and other animal welfare initiatives. In addition to pet adoption, Nassau Humane Society investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints within city limits, and enforces state and local animal-related laws. The shelter provides pet licensing, pet microchip, and a pet food bank as well.

Nassau Humane Society welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
