About New Leash on Life USA

New Leash on Life USA partners with Pets for Patriots to help veterans in the Philadelphia metro area adopt companion dogs. The organization rescues at risk dogs from shelters where they face near-certain death, and trains them in prison by inmates who live with the dogs round-the-clock for three months.

Both animals and people in the New Leash on Life program benefit from the unique relationship created during their training. Dogs in the prison program are socialized and trained to increase their adoption potential, and upon graduation go directly from prison to their new adopted homes. Inmates receive life skills and job readiness training, and many receive opportunities in the animal care field when they are paroled.

New Leash on Life USA welcomes monetary donations in support of their charitable work.
