Prairie Paws Adoption Center

About Prairie Paws Adoption Center

Prairie Paws Adoption Center offers companion pet adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. The shelter maintains a large-capacity facility as well as a climate-controlled mobile adoption center called the Waggin’ Wagon to increase the prospects of pets in their care, and to make pet adoptions more convenient for the Grand Prairie Community.

In addition to pet adoptions, Prairie Paws Adoption Center promotes humane education, enforces all animal-related laws, and provides a range of free information on responsible pet guardianship and care. Their Cat Crew runs a successful trap-neuter-return (TNR) program to humanely control the population of stray and feral cats.

Prairie Paws Adoption Center welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
