About San Diego Humane Society/SPCA – San Diego

San Diego Humane Society and SPCA San Diego campus offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends. Serving San Diego County since 1880, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA provides vital services to animals and people alike.

With campuses in central San Diego, Oceanside and Escondido, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA’s programs include sheltering and adopting animals, investigating animal cruelty and neglect and rescuing animals in emergency situations. As part of its commitment to humane education, the organization offers public training classes for positive reinforcement behavior training, adult and youth education programs and pet-assisted therapy.

The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of pet food and toys, leashes, grooming products and other animal supplies; see their wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
