About Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland
Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland adopts mature dogs to Severn area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.
The organization provides a permanent safe haven for senior dogs whose guardians cannot care for them, or who are abandoned, abused, or face risk of death. Older dogs who can be rehabilitated are offered for adoption, foster, or training as therapy dogs.
Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland welcomes monetary donations as well as in-kind contributions from its wish list. To help the dogs in their care, considering volunteering or becoming a foster to a dog awaiting adoption.
Adoption Fees Include:
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Basic veterinary exam
- Behavior assessment
- Collar
- Fecal test
- Flea/tick preventative
- Heartworm preventative
- Heartworm test
- Leash
- Microchip for permanent identification
- Pet ID tag and registration
- Spay/neuter
