About Special Pals Shelter
Special Pals Shelter offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots and will help them find their new best friends. Since 1979 the organization has been dedicated to saving, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in the Greater Houston area.
In collaboration with local rescue groups Special Pals Shelter offers rescue boarding to help transition at-risk pets to adoption.
Special Pals Shelter welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of various animal, kennel, clinic and office supplies; see their complete wish list for details. Become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters for a more hands on experience.
Adoption Fees Include:

Basic veterinary exam

FeLV/FIV test (cats)
Heartworm test
Leash
Microchip for permanent identification
Spay/neuter
