The Town of Newburgh Animal Control & Shelter offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.
All of their animals available for adoption are strays, have been found injured, or were seized due to cruelty investigations. The shelter does not accept owner surrenders.
As a municipal organization, the Town of Newburgh Animal Control & Shelter enforces all state and local animal-related laws. Their T-92 program traps, spays/neuters, and vaccinates feral cats in the community.
To encourage the adoption of more mature pets, senior pets are free to senior citizens.
