About Virginia Beach SPCA

Virginia Beach SPCA offers dog and cat adoptions and will help Pets for Patriots members find their new best friends. Founded in 1966, the organization provides shelter, care and adoption to almost 4,000 animals in need every year. To promote responsible pet ownership and humane education, the Virginia Beach SPCA offers adoption classes and online access to resources for common pet issues. In addition, the shelter offers onsite obedience training and monthly Get To Know Your Dog classes.

As part of its commitment to reduce animal overpopulation and cruelty, the Virginia Beach SPCA Low Cost Medical Clinic provides affordable spay/neuter services and routine veterinary care to qualifying households, and operates a “Neuter Scooter” to offer mobile, low-cost spay/neuter services to communities without access to affordable veterinary care.

Pets for Patriots members are eligible to receive services through the organization’s Veterinary Clinic.

Virginia Beach SPCA welcomes monetary donations, as well as animal care, cleaning, medical and office supplies; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands-on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
