SUSAN ZEMANEK

DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION + PROJECTS
Susan is a lifelong entrepreneur, pet lover and volunteer. In 2011, she joined Pets for Patriots as a volunteer, during which time she managed all in- and out-bound writing projects, program print orders, administration of our Veterans’ Pet Food Bank Program and other critical tasks.

In October 2013 after more than two years as a dedicated volunteer, Susan joined Pets for Patriots as our Director of Administration + Projects. In addition to her previous duties, Susan now manages all shelter and veterinarian applications, and works closely with Ted to document veteran pet adoptions to ensure a great experience for our veterans. Susan is our “go to” team member for a variety of project management and administrative needs.

Susan is the proud daughter of a Korean War Marine Corps veteran and proud co-parent, with her husband, of three rescues: Sasha, an Australian Cattle Dog/Lab mix and two cats, Tucker and Sadie. When she’s not helping our patriots, she’ll be rooting for hers – The New England Patriots football team – and creating murder mystery games and scavenger hunts that she sells on her online store.

Aside from Sundays during football season and when Susan’s not working, you’ll likely find her outside communing with nature. Get her in the peace and quiet of the mountains – preferably with some snow, her husband and her dog – and she has found her bliss.
