Patriot interview: BJ, Peanut + Thunder

BJ (Barbara), retired from the Army, lives in Illinois. In March of 2017, she adopted a then 4 year-old Dachshund mix named Peanut from the Belleville Area Humane Society. Peanut's back legs are paralyzed. In September of 2017, she adopted another Dachshund mix, a 6 month-old special needs dog named Thunder. Thunder has two club feet. Both pets are Pets for Patriots eligible because we allow our members to adopt up to two pets through our program. 9/2017 Thunder was foster to adopt. Has no functional front legs; gets along great with her other dog Peanut (back legs paralyzed). This is a foster failure 🙂
