Hero Tails: stories worth sharing

This month and through July 4th we’re honoring shelter pets by featuring their tales of hope and perseverance. Hero Tails showcases the stories of five brave pets who we hope will inspire others to adopt and support homeless pets in their communities.

In the next couple of weeks, you’ll get to know our featured shelter pets Lulu, Willow, Professor Plum, Kratos and Thanos, and many others that are in the care of our shelter and rescue partners across the country. Join us on our social media – Facebook, Twitter, G+Instagram and Pinterest – search for the hashtag #PFPselfie and be part of our cause to help end animal homelessness.

Supporting our Hero Tails campaign is easy! Just two simple steps:

Sharing is caring

Show you care about the plight of homeless animals by sharing our Hero Tails post and everything #PFPselfie that you find on our social media pages.

Celebrate your adopted pet

Post your dog’s or cat’s selfie on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #PFPselfie. We’ll share some of our favorites!

Our goal is simple, yet powerful: to highlight the dignity of homeless animals who want nothing more than to love, and be loved. Each of us has a Hero Tail worth sharing; will you share yours?

Sharing your Hero Tail is just one of many ways you can support our cause. To help fund our mission and work, click the donate button and make a gift today.
