Bastrop County Animal Shelter

About Bastrop County Animal Shelter

The Bastrop County Animal Shelter offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans in Southeast Texas through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. In addition to companion pet adoption, the shelter is responsible for cruelty investigations and enforcement of animal laws.

The shelter operates out of its three-building complex, which includes indoor/outdoor kennels and four play yards. The Friends of Bastrop County Animal Shelter is an affiliated charitable organization, whose mission is to increase adoptions at the shelter and support the humane treatment of animals in their care.

Bastrop County Animal Shelter welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers.
