About Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center

Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center partners with Pets for Patriots to help veterans and Gold Star families adopt companion pets.

In addition to pet adoption, the organization educates the community about responsible pet guardianship. Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws. The shelter provides dog licensing and pet microchip services as well.

Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center accepts both money and in-kind donations. A full wish list is available for those who want to give. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
