City of Sugar Land Animal Services partners with Pets for Patriots to help Sugar Land area veterans adopt companion dogs and cats. All animals in the shelter’s care are have the opportunity to go on a brief sleepover to help potential adopters assess if a particular pet is a good fit in their home.
In addition to pet adoption, City of Sugar Land Animal Services works to socialize animals through dog walking and enrichment. The shelter’s Animal Services Officers also investigate animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws.
City of Sugar Land Animal Services encourages residents to volunteer their time at the shelter, foster animals with special needs (neo-natal, socialization, medical, etc.), or donate to the shelter’s wishlist.
