City of Sugar Land Animal Services

About City of Sugar Land Animal Services

City of Sugar Land Animal Services offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

In addition to pet adoption, City of Sugar Land Animal Services provides educational outreach to local schools, as well as wildlife education and pet ownership classes. The shelter investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws.

All animals in the shelter’s care are required to go on brief sleepover to help potential adopters assess if a particular pet is a good fit in their home. To inspire the adoption of more overlooked pets, the City of Sugar Land Animal Services offers a reduced fee of $20 for any animal in the shelter for 30 days or longer.

City of Sugar Land Animal Services encourages all animal lovers to volunteer at the shelter.

Adoption Fees Include:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
