City of Sugar Land Animal Services

About City of Sugar Land Animal Services

City of Sugar Land Animal Services partners with Pets for Patriots to help Sugar Land area veterans adopt companion dogs and cats.

In addition to pet adoption, City of Sugar Land Animal Services provides educational outreach to local schools, as well as wildlife education and pet ownership classes. The shelter investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws.

All animals in the shelter’s care are required to go on brief sleepover to help potential adopters assess if a particular pet is a good fit in their home. To inspire the adoption of pets, the City of Sugar Land will regularly reduce or even completely waive the adoption fee. Please check the website for updates on the current fees as they may change from month to month.

City of Sugar Land Animal Services encourages all animal lovers to volunteer at the shelter.
