About Humane League of Lancaster County

Humane League of Lancaster County offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends. It is part of Humane Pennsylvania, the region’s largest partnership of animal welfare organizations and nonprofit veterinary hospitals.

The shelter supports various Humane Pennsylvania programs to improve the lives of people and their pets. Safe Haven gives temporary care for pets due to disaster, personal hardship, or domestic violence. Spikes Pet Pantry is a program that makes pet food available to Berks and Lancaster residents so that no one ever has to make the heartbreaking decision to give up their pet because they can’t afford basic care.

Humane League of Lancaster County welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of various pet and office supplies. See their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
