About Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan

Humane Society of Southwest Michigan offers dog and cat adoptions to Berrien County veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.

Established in 1934 under a previous name, Humane Society of Southwest Michigan works with local law enforcement and animal welfare partners to investigate cases of animal cruelty and neglect. The organization provides humane education to the community through classroom visits, youth group programs, and civic group presentations.  Low-cost spay/neuter programs are provided in cooperation with other local nonprofit organizations.

Humane Society of Southwest Michigan welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
