About Montgomery County – Ft. Campbell Stray Animal Facility

Montgomery County – Ft. Campbell Stray Animal Facility offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.

The shelter is managed by Montgomery County Animal Care and Control to handle stray animal care, adoptions, and pet fostering at Ft. Campbell, home of the 101st Airborne Division. Individuals living on base are required to use the adjacent Fort Campbell Veterinary Center for their pets’ medical care, including mandatory spay/neuter.

In addition to pet adoption, Montgomery County Animal Care and Control investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, and enforces state and local animal-related laws, both in Montgomery County and at Ft. Campbell.
