Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals

Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

The shelter offers various programs to keep people and their pets together. A Lucky Whiskers and Wags fund covers the costs of extraordinary medical expenses for adopted pets. Another Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals program gives grants to senior citizens to help with various medical or incidental pet expenses. And a pet food pantry is available for any pet in need.

Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals welcomes monetary donations as well as in-kind contributions from its wish list. Volunteers are always needed, as are fosters to care for dogs and cats awaiting adoption.
