Operation Pets Alive! Shenandoah

About Operation Pets Alive! Shenandoah

Operation Pets Alive! offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans in the greater Houston metro area through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. The rescue holds adoption events at two locations, Petsmart in Shenandoah and Petco in The Woodlands.  Adoption dates and times are listed on their website.

The foster-based organization keeps animals in foster care for a minimum of two weeks before becoming eligible for adoption. This allows fosters to assess their behavior and increase the chances of successful placement. In addition, Operation Pets Alive! maintains a low-cost spay/neuter program.

Operation Pets Alive! welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
