Helping veterans with pet medical bills they cannot afford
Our hero program is a lifeline to dogs and cats who need medical care that their veterans cannot pay. It is only available to Pets for Patriots adopters.
This program supports our philosophy of surrender prevention and adoptions for life. Moderate contributions to pets’ medical care prevents needless surrender, suffering, or death.
We have paid for basic items like preventatives, vaccinations, and medication. The program has funded diagnostics, surgery, cancer treatments, and palliative care as well.
Out team negotiates charity discounts with treating veterinarians, and pays them for care. This ensures donors that their gifts are being used in an efficient way and in keeping with their wishes. And it reinforces our commitments to financial accountability and transparency.
A donation of $485 supports a typical hero program request.
